What is a dripper vape?

The pros and cons of dripping
Drippers (or RDA's - Rebuildable Dripping Atomisers) are rebuildable atomisers that don't have a tank. Dripping is a form of vaping, but instead of filling up a vape tank as you normally would, you drip a small amount of e-juice directly onto the wicked coil or bridge of your RDA atomiser. Some find this method impractical, considering the fact that the e-liquid is evaporated after a few tokes, it has to be re-dripped frequently. Also, drippers have to be built and wicked by the user, not ideal for new vapers.
There are advantages to using dripper vapes, especially to the more advanced vaper. Let's take a look at the pros and cons of drippers:
Better flavour
For some reason, dessert flavours come to life in drippers. This could be down to the increased airflow often found in RDAs. This could also be down to the fact that the user can create a different vaping experience by installing different coil types.
Tailor made set-ups
The vaper can create their own builds and therefore tailor make their experience. Each coil type can produce different heat up times and therefore different intensities of flavour. Drippers are generally quite spacious in terms of build space and provide lots of different options for the user. Larger coils such as fused alien claptons and staggered fused claptons can be installed to give a more tailored vaping experience.
Easy to maintain
Drippers are easy to take apart, clean and re-wick. Re-wicking can improve the flavour massively, and because it is so easy to do, it allows for the vaper to have the best flavour as often as they wish to re-wick.
Dripping can be a bit of a hassle. Once the wick is doused in e-liquid it can take only a few puffs until it needs more e-liquid. This is inconvenient for people who vape while they drive, those walking around town while vaping, or if both hands are occupied with children.
Not for beginners
Due to the fact that you can't go to a shop and get a new coil, the vaper has to rebuild the RDA themselves. This can take practice, but is worth it in the long run.
The need for power
Drippers often require more power due to the lower resistance coils that vapers install within them. This can mean that you have to carry extra batteries, or charge up your mod on a regular basis.
Dripper vapes can give you a bespoke approach to how you vape. Beginners may not care for this factor as much as a more experienced vaper. But the building of coils and RDAs can become a hobby for many advanced vapers and enable them to get the best out of their equipment.
